U!REKA Connects 2023: call for participants
Would you like to be part of the programme at our annual networking event in Amsterdam this Spring?
27 Jan 2023 11:09 | CommunicationFrom 30 May until 2 June 2023, the U!REKA Connects event will take place in Amsterdam. This is organised annually by U!REKA, the European alliance of universities of applied sciences. The call for participants is open now, until 3 March 2023. Join us!
This year the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences has the honour of hosting the event and welcoming partners from Edinburgh, Frankfurt, Ghent, Helsinki, Lisbon and Ostrava to the Netherlands.
The main theme of this year's event is: Make a SHIFT. The theme is related to the U!REKA European University bid and will be all about Sustainable Human Inclusive Future-proof Transformation and the European Year of Skills.
Our aim is to organise an event that is diverse, action driven and inspirational. Colleagues, students, partners and others across the network are invited to participate as a speaker / workshop facilitator / art performer / change maker / inspirer etc. Think about what and who makes you proud, happy and hopeful and let's bring it all together to lift up the U!REKA Connects attendees in Amsterdam.
Do you have a best practice in education, projects and research related to one of the following four sub-themes?
1) Future proof ideas (e.g. technical solutions, materials, climate adaptation, biodiversity, water, mobility, energy and health solutions)
2) Sustainability imaginaries (e.g. design, philosophy, psychology, ethics, arts, humanity, (digital) society interaction)
3) Impactful entrepreneurship (e.g. societal impact, (re)purpose design, resources, inclusive action)
4) Year of Skills (e.g. student engagement, lifelong learning, future skills, inclusive labour etc.)

The deadline for this call is 3 March 2023.
After that deadline we we will start shaping the programme and get back to you. General registration for all conference attendees will start from mid-March.
