U!REKA Conferences
The U!REKA Consortium organises an annual conference, hosted by a different partner each year. This highly anticipated gathering is a prime opportunity for networking, strengthening our existing partnerships and forging new joint activities. Attendees share expertise through interactive workshops, presentations and more.

The 6th annual U!REKA conference will be held in Ghent from 16-18 May 2022 (rescheduled from 22-23 November 2021 due to Covid-19). More information will be available soon.
The fifth annual U!REKA Conference was hosted by Helsinki-based partner Metropolia University of Applied Sciences this year, from 16-17 November. Due to COVID-19, the 2020 event was organised as a virtual conference for the first time.

The U!REKA Conference 2019 was organised in Oslo. Instead of the large annual conference it was split in two parts: a workshop on 7-9 October followed by a second workshop on 2-3 December.
3rd International U!REKA Conference
Shaping Urban Communities: Smart and Sustainable Solutions
On 26-28 November 2018 the annual conference of the Urban Research and Education Knowledge Alliance (U!REKA) was held at the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences.
The theme of the 3rd annual conference was Shaping Urban Communities: Smart and Sustainable Solutions. This annual event provides a platform for AUAS professors, lecturers and other colleagues to present their work and to better understand the common and complementary expertise of their consortium peers, with the aim to strengthen collaboration.

At the end of November 2017, the second annual U!REKA Conference was held in Scotland at Edinburgh Napier University. The theme of this conference aimed to support the development of the U!REKA Research and Education Strategy, focusing on four key themes of interest shared among the consortium partners:
